Meera Kathiravan, who has been directing the Jai-Nandagi starrer ‘Aval Peyar Thamizharasi’, claims that the film should have been on the rampage long back but for the important rains which lashed the State in November-December. The film is produced by CD producer Moserbaer and starrer Diyana, the newly-wed ‘Ganja’ Karappu and others moreover the lead pair. Kathiravan says that the screenplay is a lingering love story set in classic pastoral backdrop. Hero (Jai) goes in rummage around of his ladylove (heroine Nandagi), who goes missing along with her family. The shooting, which took place lengthily in Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Pune in Maharashtra, came to end only freshly. The delay in the release of the film is attributed to the heavy rains and storm that intervened at least thrice during the shooting of important sequences. Kathiravan claims that the shooting of the total film had been completed in 75 days spread over a few months. Kathiravan believes that today’s audience, who sense the film’s narrative even before its theatrical release, would make the film a successful venture solely for the story if not for anything else. ‘Aval…’ is all set to release on 26th February.
