The bubbly Keerthi Chawla has more or less done all the roles in her brief career. She did a period film in Kalaignar’s ‘Uliyin Osai’ opposite Vineeth and did the controversial ‘Wellington Road’ which reportedly had some hot bedroom sequences. To top it, she also appeared in biking for a Telugu film. Her next plan in Tamil would be ‘Kulasegaranum Koolippadaiyum’, which also stars another heroine in Udhayathara. Her role in the film is quite a noteworthy on in her career, for she plays a blind beggar woman in the film. “I get stirred by Jyothika’s portrayal of a blind girl in Suriya’s Perazhagan. In the film, I would be using grey-blue coloured contact lenses to supplement my blind look,” says Keerthi. “I had no other go but to stare up at the maximum to give the ‘blind’ look to my eyes. This was quite tense and painful to the eyes but I didn’t care as I required to ensure that the sequence bowed out well. I have been asked several times as to why I haven’t found my foothold in Tamil films as yet; frankly speaking, I don’t know the answer yet. I have, however, decided not to accept insignificant roles and ‘item’ numbers in my prospect assignments,” adds Keerthi Chawla.
